Special Assembly was conducted by Class VIII to celebrate Republic day.The students learnt about the drafting of the constitution of India and why this particular day was named Republic Day through various acts like skit, constitutional facts ,poem and a speech.The assembly concluded with the national anthem leaving the spirit of patriotism among the students.

The constitution of India came into force on 26 January 1950.26 January was chosen as the Republic Day because it was on the day in 1929 when declaration of Indian Independence was proclaimed by the Indian National Congress.Happy  71st Republic Day.

 Lohri,the festival which ushers in the joyous spring and bids adieu to the hard winter,was celebrated at school with exuberance and fanfare on 13th January 2020.The mood was upbeat and the children actively immersed in the festive spirit.The students sang the Lohri songs and danced on the Punjabi folk songs.All the students had the community lunch with popcorn ,gajak and revri.

Students of class VIII made triangular prism through its net consisting of two triangles and three rectangles.The triangles are the bases of the prism and rectangles are the lateral faces. Triangular prism is a three sided prism,made of a triangular base and 3 faces joining the corresponding sides . Students calculated the no of faces =5 ,no of edges =9 and no of vertices =6 with a base shape of triangle.It was a great way for students  to learn 3D shapes.
