Finding area of Cone



 Students of class VIII derived the formula for finding the area of a cone.They obtained the area of various triangles by cutting the curved surfaces and they infered that the base of the curved surface comes out be the circumference of the circle and all the lengths were equal.

That's how they derived the formula for area of Cone as πrl.

Total area then came out to be πrl+πr^2.
