Finding area of Cone

 Students of class VIII derived the formula for finding the area of a cone.They obtained the area of various triangles by cutting the curved surfaces and they infered that the base of the curved surface comes out be the circumference of the circle and all the lengths were equal. That's how they derived the formula for area of Cone as πrl. Total area then came out to be πrl+πr^2.

  Today India celebrates its 74th Independence Day. We all have special memories of the national holiday growing up- flag hoisting in school, I-Day functions, special play enactment, hoisting of flags, special commemorative food, singing the national anthem together and most importantly, expressing gratitude towards our freedom fighters and their undying spirit Independence Day is celebrated annually  on 15 August as a   national holiday   in   India   commemorating the nation's   independence   from the   United Kingdom on 15 August 1947, the day when the provisions of the   Indian Independence Act 1947 , which transferred legislative sovereignty to the   Indian Constituent Assembly , came into effect. India retained   King George VI   as head of state until its transition to a full republic, and the Constitution of India 1950 replaced the dominion prefix,   Dominion of India , with the enactment of the sovereign law...
